Dr. Istvan Urban first studied dentistry and subsequently medicine at the renowned Semmelweis University in Budapest. In parallel, he completed his specialist training in oral and maxillofacial surgery at St. Istvan Hospital in Budapest, as well as an internship program at the Department of Periodontology at the University of California (USA).As part of a fellowship program in dental implantology at Loma Linda University in California, he deepened his expertise and served as an assistant professor in the undergraduate implantology program. Upon his return, he established a private practice in Budapest specializing in implantology and periodontology.In 2012, he earned his PhD in periodontology at the University of Szeged, where he is now an associate professor. With numerous scientific publications and book contributions, Dr. Urban has significantly shaped the fields of bone regeneration and soft tissue management in implantology.
Prof. Dr. Fouad Khoury is full professor in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Münster, Germany. He is also Director of the Privatzahnklinik Schloss Schellenstein in Olsberg.Born in Lebanon, he obtained his dental degree (DMD) from St. Joseph University in Beirut. He specialized in Oral Surgery in Germany (among others at universities in Freiburg and Münster).Prof. Khoury is internationally recognized for his work in bone augmentation and regenerative implantology. He developed techniques such as the “Carrot Technique” (also “Carotta Technique”) and the “Shell (Bone Block) Technique”.
