Description

The usage of Cytoplast d-PTFE membranes for GBR in various indications - A 1.5 Day Course Scientific Justification and Hands-on

The aim of this course is to teach participants to work predictably with the Cytoplast membrane. The background of the Cytoplast d-PTFE membrane and the thoughts behind its application in “Open” GBR (Ridge preservation) procedures and “Closed” GBR procedures will be discussed. We substantiate the indications based on literature. The surgical techniques required for this membrane are illustrated and explained on the basis of video recordings of GBR operations. In addition, what to do in the event of complications and the course of treatment is also discussed.

This course is ideal for colleagues who want to start with performing small to medium-sized GBR procedures with Cytoplast membranes or want to improve their skills. In addition, the course provides a good basis if you first want to start applying Cytoplast immediately after extraction or if you already have some experience with this.

Contents 1.5 Day Course:

  1. History and properties of non-resorbable membranes
  2. Various indications “Open” & Closed GBR illustrated with clinical cases
  3. Membrane fixation technique
  4. Practical guidelines using d-PTFE membranes in lateral GBR procedures or directly after extraction including various sorts of damaged sockets
  5. Discussion of what to do in case of a complication by using a healing complication classification
  6. Video analysis of recorded GBR surgeries
  7. Hands-on (2 parts Lateral GBR & d-PTFE after extraction)

This 1,5 day Course in the Netherlands is rated by participants (dentists/ periodontists/ implantologists/ oral surgeons) with a 8 to 9 (on a scale form 0 to 10).
